Troupeau Bleu, my favorite album

Troupeau Bleu is the Cortex record I listen to the most. The tracks blend softness and energy, and you can feel a real mastery in the way the band makes the styles coexist: the jazz rhythms are enriched with touches of funk and soul.
It’s also a good entry point if you don’t know jazz. I think this album can win over even the most reluctant to the genre.
To conclude
With albums like Troupeau Bleu, Cortex managed to blend innovation and tradition. A record I’d recommend to anyone, jazz fan or not.
